Have you ever read an article someone has posted on LinkedIn and thought “Wow, that is a great quote, statement or phrase! I wish I could tweet or share that with my network!” If so, you are in luck! LinkedIn has added this super-nifty feature; it’s fun and a great social hack.
Our quick tips, inspired by client questions, new features, and the how-to’s tricks we uncover from spending our days in LinkedIn. So when someone out of the blue comments on one of our posts and asks “did you know about this?” we pay attention.
That’s what happened this week, and so we want to give a shout out and some credit where it is due. Thank you, Mathieu LaFerriere for this sharing this feature with us! Colleen McKenna posted an article on LinkedIn and Mathieu commented. After reading Colleen’s post, he clicked to another post where Colleen’s wrote, “be the person you want to meet.” When he highlighted it, a blue arrow appeared giving him the option to share it on LinkedIn and Twitter.
What a great way to quickly and easily share a quote, statement, or phrase with your network. Sharing is a quick and easy way to share an update and engage with your network which increases your SSI score.
Let’s check it out.
To share a quote, statement or phrase highlight whatever it is you want to share. Once you’ve highlighted the text, a blue arrow appears to the right.
Choose LinkedIn or Twitter. If your Twitter is not connected with your LinkedIn account, you may not have the option to share it on Twitter.
A new window will pop up. Edit the text as need and click share or tweet!
Share away!
This is a great way to share other people’s valuable, inspiring content as well as your own.
