QuickTipImageLinkedIn just keeps getting better. One of its most recent updates now allows LinkedIn Company Page admins to Like and Comment as their brand. What do I mean?

Let’s say you are a Company Page admin and you post something about an upcoming event that your brand is hosting. If a potential guest comments on the post asking for directions, you can now respond to the guest as the brand.

Or as another example, let’s say you share a post that mentions the great non-profit work of one of your clients. You can now even Like that post as your company and not as an individual.

These two new features really help with brand identity, brand consistency, and creating a unified brand voice.

How to get started using this feature

Here is the best news you’ll receive all day: you do not have to do anything in order to get started Liking and Commenting as your brand or company on LinkedIn. If you are a page administrator, once you Like or Comment on any post on your Company Page, LinkedIn will automatically show that Like or Comment as an action taken on behalf of the company and not you as an individual.

If you have questions regarding having administrative rights to your Company Page, just go to your Company Page. If you see a tan box that says “Share an update,” you have admin rights.

If you do not have admin rights to your Company Page, you can request rights by following these instructions.

Benefits of Liking and Commenting as your brand

As I stated before, using these two features helps with your brand voice, consistency, and identity. Additionally, as a Company Page admin you should look for opportunities to further engage with your company’s followers. Remember, once any LinkedIn member likes and comments on your company posts, their network will then also see the update in their homepage. This helps to spread visibility and awareness for your company or brand.

Key Takeaways

There are two simple takeaways from this post:

1. Take advantage of posting on your Company Page. Posts can include text and a link to a website, an image, SlideShare presentation, YouTube or Vimeo video. For more information on posting on LinkedIn, check out my previous post, How to Share Content on LinkedIn.

2. Begin to Like and Comment on your Company Page post to increase your company or brand’s engagement, consistency, and brand voice.
