I’m continually talking about maximizing your network by asking for and making introductions. I talk about Centers of Influence and about becoming a Center of Influence. And, I love new ways of thinking about being a valued resource to others.
That’s why I was intrigued when during my post-podcast conversation with Walker McKay, he mentioned that he is a believer of asking for only one introduction at a time. Huh?
“Only one?” I said, not sure I heard him right.
“Yes, only one. Let’s start there. If that one works out well, then maybe another.”
Walker had just posted a short article on this exact topic, and I think it’s not only worth reading, but it’s also worth testing out and letting us know how it goes.
If you aren’t big on asking for referrals, this is the perfect way to begin. If you aren’t asking for referrals/introductions, you’re missing out on one of the best ways there is for growing your business.
